Myths about CBD

There is a lot of misinterpretations about what CBD is, and how it works. Thankfully we are here to clear up the misconceptions!

False: CBD gets you high

CBD is non-psychoactive, meaning it has no intoxicating effects at all. THC is the only psychoactive cannabinoid in the cannabis plant. THC influences your CB1 receptors in your brain and makes you high.

True: CBD is being used as treatment.

CBD is being used to treat a variety of diseases and disorders not just in adults, but kids and pets. Preclinical evidence strongly supports CBD treatment for Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Epilepsy, Depression, OCD, PTSD, and many more.

False: CBD works instantly

Just like with an Asprin you have to give CBD at least 30 minutes to kick in. Don’t expect CBD to work the same as THC taking effect immediately.

True: CBD improves the immune system.

CB1 and CB2 receptors were found on immune cells suggesting that cannabinoids play an important part when it comes to the regulation of the immune system.

False: A little CBD is enough

CBD is much less potent than THC at relieving symptoms. Someone with anxiety may only need 3-5 mg of THC but would require 30-200 mg of CBD for the same relieve. Everyone’s bodies are different and require different amounts of CBD to fulfill their needs. A cancer patient vs. someone with anxiety will have completely different doses.

True: CBD reduces inflammation.

Transdermal CBD greatly reduces inflammation in the body, relieves arthritic pain, and clinical trials have shown that CBD doesn’t have any evident side-effects.
